There is a large colony of seals only a mile from my marina and I often wonder why they don't come in to feed on the many grey mullet we have.Mrs C is almost always the one to step off the boat, and as she’s a bit less than 8st, the risk of a ducking is small. She’d be very excited about the wales though. She was quite beside herself when we had a seal come up to the boat in Beaucette.
If those mullet are like the ones in Tollesbury, it's because the seals know what the mullet eat (allegedly )There is a large colony of seals only a mile from my marina and I often wonder why they don't come in to feed on the many grey mullet we have.
Last winter, we had one in the River Yar. Plenty of mullet there too. There is a large colony of seals only a mile from my marina and I often wonder why they don't come in to feed on the many grey mullet we have.
Your mullet are clearly more fastidious in their eating habits than ours.Last winter, we had one in the River Yar. Plenty of mullet there too.
The Yar is generally pretty clean. Though the local sewage treatment plant could potentially discharge, it’s on the bank.Your mullet are clearly more fastidious in their eating habits than ours.
A lot of the knots in UK marinas I see are designed to keep the cleat warm in winter and more resemble a tea cosy. The guy who owns the rib fancies spanish naval knitting.

Obviously conceived by someone who took the description « finger pontoon » too literally.I use boat on the left side of the picture. If I stand on the far end, I sink to my ankles, so I delegate.

Given their habit of eating detritus off boats’s hulls I’d assumed there was a risk of toxins from the anti foul building up in themThe Yar is generally pretty clean. Though the local sewage treatment plant could potentially discharge, it’s on the bank.
I knew someone that lived on the bank...Nat West, I thinkThe Yar is generally pretty clean. Though the local sewage treatment plant could potentially discharge, it’s on the bank.
