The ice has melted and the new boating season is finally starting here in Finland. We went to the boat last weekend for a short stay to see everything was ok. Weather wasn't very nice but it was still good to be back on the boat again. Here's our season so far with some piccies.
We had the boat in a nice warm industrial hall for the winter. The other end of the hall was in active use, so the boats were covered with a sort of veil to keep the greasy kind of dust away.
After much elbow grease we got the boat shining again (I was again quite happy with the 3M products we used)
The boat was launched by the yard last week. As said, the weather last weekend was all but sunny with thick fog and temperatures around +5 C.
Savonlinna still looking a bit grey.
I'm off to the boat again today for an extended weekend. Weather forecast looks a lot better with +20 to 25 C forecasted for the end of the week.
We had the injectors changed to the port engine which was noticeably smokier than the other. I haven't had a change to do a test run yet, but it'll be interesting to see how/if things have improved.
