Fender cleaner

Fenders are made of plastic so use stuff that is good on plastic which you may well already have .
Polish for GRP perhaps.
Some dirt marks may be removed with a degreaser like Elbow Grease

I also have Silky Cream cleaner , mainly for use on the GRP but which also ca be used on fenders . Its very economical.

When we lived aboard in USA best idea seen was to put fender in A black bin bag with some laundry detergent and water, tie bag up , shake well and leave an hour or so. One owner use to tow the bag behind andlet it bounce about in the wake. This was in Florida so the black bag heated the water in the sun which may have helped but it seemed to work with littlee ffort

I think I must have tried every product mentioned but I can never get my fenders really clean. Its as though the grime is somehow embedded. Very frustrating.

Rubber yes but the plastic not. Acitone evaporates really quickly so quickly wiped on does the trick. It is a last resort option which I’ve used successfully many times. Not a particularly healthy option, must wear gloves.
Agree. I have successfully used acetone to clean up a very bad fender. You need to keep rotating/changing the cloth otherwise as soon as the cloth is dirty all you will do is rub the dirt back in again.

Sounds like you’ve developed the technique, yes loads of paper towel…..and you can spell acetone correctly :)

Jif....... doesn't work.
PInk stuff..... lifts light surface grime but not much else.
