HARBOUR DIRECTION 01/15
Notice is Hereby Given that the Commissioners of Falmouth Harbour, a Designated Harbour pursuant to The Harbour Directions (Designation of Harbour Authorities) Order 2015 intend to make, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 40A of the Harbours Act 1964, the following direction in respect of vessels navigating in the proximity of Gyllingvase, Castle and Swanpool beaches.
Every Ship navigating within the Area to landward of a line from Pendennis Point to Pennance Point and within 100 metres of Mean High Water Mark from the 1st of May to the 30th September annually must, unless otherwise authorised by the Harbour Master in writing, be navigated at a speed not exceeding 4 knots through the water.
Any person wishing to object to or comment on the direction shall put objections or comments in writing and address them to;

Probably to protect the bathing beaches from speedboats & jetskis. Let's hope they have more luck in catching and prosecuting offenders than other harbour authorities with a similar restriction (Langstone Harbour springs to mind!).

Pointless. They do jack all about enforcing the existing speed limits inside the harbour so why make more that they are going to do nothing about?
