Well it had to happen. Out over the last week and whilst dodging falling RAF Harriers off Lowestoft, we managed to get 4 Fairline Holidays together in the RN&SYC, and sail 3 in formation the length of lake lothing and out to sea.
This meeting has lead on to the imminant formation of a "FAIRLINE HOLIDAY CLUB" web page which is currently under construction. (We all had tales to tell regarding our own bits or GRP which took us 3 days to exhaust)
This motley crew consisted of "Spirit of Avalon" MK1, "Osprey" MK2, "Beau Vallon" MK1 and "Sea Jay"MK3. who joined the party in the harbour.
Now Ian, I know that you will be itching at the edges to get Kalisha into the public domain so. If any one who has a Fairline Holiday or Knows where one is Please send me the info, and pictures if poss and we can add them all into the site.

In addition to the above vessels. Up here on the Broads we also have some mystery Holidays "JO JO, SEA WOLF, SEAL DAWN, INSPIRATION and one based in Loddon. You know who you are, so spill the beans on your toys and any usefull advice and help the Holiday Club take flight. Club Burgee's are on the design table so lets see how many we can get and how many good Holiday Yarns there are!
Most of the people that we have met, seem to have great affection for these little ships, and so the Holiday romance cliche has to be wheeled out here and now!

The four first named seem to be out on the water up here most weekends so getting a good size flottilla together should be realistic possibility, if we can get a pile of like minded soles in contact with each other via the site.

Ian you can definatly send up your info on the BSS as it will be here for 2005.

Thanks guys and gals, and hope to see shortly

Hi Steve, what about all us other lonely souls with no club to join, will we still get a wave and a chat? Still looking forward to that beer, be down your way first week in September.

Well said - I s'pose I'm excluded even though my P32 is only on the other side of the pontoon - the posh side...aah, thats it, the Fairline inferiority club??!!! Mind you, my 14 knots won't let me keep up with your 27...I'll tag along if you go slowly.

Will be up your way in the next week or so Muchy - doing the southern rivers next week before heading up to the barren north, Stalham isn't it?

OK, OK ,OK

Other fellow broads bound boats can have an honarry member ship but were not changing the name! does that help?

But being just the otherside of the pontoon will give you special priveliges.

Now seriously, we just got a group of Holidays together and thought that a site would be fun. As we seem to be getting a few other broads based persons wanting to be "Fairline Holidays" we may as well have a single site that covers both. (if nobody wants to put up a seperate broads site that is)

SO "CALLING ALL BROADS BOATERS, CALLING ALL BROADS BOATERS",
details this way please. Your time of anonimity is up!!! confess and come out of the woodwork and be counted like real men!

Hi Seajay,

Were you in Haven Marina in Ipswich a few weeks back.. moored up a few in front of the Last Anchor Restaurant?

Saw a Fairline Holiday there that looked remarkably similar to yours!

Cheers,

Craig.

Hi, fellow Hoilday club members - now then do you want to join our club or can we join yours - me and Lanason formed one a few months back but we're on the Thames.

Mines a MK3 number 593, penultimate one made - just reengined with new VP DIESEL plus put loads of other kit in her as the same time.

There's a couple on the Thames but don't know if they are on this forum or not.

Keep in touch

Peter
