Almost certainly. They were only just taken over (a month ago?) so things are no doubt in a bit of turmoil on planet Fairline so with the timing of Dusseldorf, I would have been surprised if they were there. Genuine potential buyers (of individual boats, not the brand) I think wouldn't be too forthcoming at this exact time.

The problem now for any buyer I guess is who will buy a new one, knowing all the issues they have!! The brand was just starting to go big again, and with some great design I believe they could have done well. Such a shame for everyone involved.

I think you have inadvertently answered your own question there. They probably took one look at who had bought it and pulled the plug fast!

Well personally I like Fairline's current product line and the most recent ones I saw seemed good quality (relative to their competitors) too. Sunseeker aren't in great shape either so it looks particularly tricky for Fairline but the 'big three' are all having issues..

I hope Fairline gets sorted out. It's a good brand..

Three ownership changes in 2024, did not make it look promising.

Fairline two new recent models (Squadron 58 and Targa 40) were promising for it to be an important player again, with some interesting gadgets in the fold.
Although lets be fair when optional ticked these gadgets made the models over priced in there respective segments.

Its a pity but lets hope someone with experience in building boats takes the helm this time around and makes a real saving.

Having worked in Oundle l knew a few people who worked there. It seemed that they churned the staff on a regular basis. I don't know any of the players in this iteration but hope Fairline continue.

Its all well and good people saying ... hope they recover .. do well .. stay on market etc .... but the bottom line is SALES.

Not only whether buyers get value for money and good product - but also whether the brand will be there later to service / replace / support the product.

Having repeated 'buy-outs' .. change of owners does not give a sense of long term support ... its not as if we are talking about small money products .. we are talking about products that for many are major investments.
