EPropulsion Evo regenerative charging

Another weekend, another small petrol outboard issue. I've had enough. They smelly and messy too.

I'm planning to buy one of the EPropulsion models for my tender.

Has anyone here tried the regen charging feature of the Evo? I'd have to make up a special bracket as it'd have the short shaft.

No direct experience but they are pretty clear on their site that this only really works at relatively high speeds

I have an EPropulsion and it's very good - fast, light, clean, etc, albeit expensive. I've not read the handbook so I'm unaware of any regen charging, although if it's anything like the regen charging on my car I'm sure it would be worthwhile.
