Partners can always reconsider but they can’t keep demanding votes because they disagreed with the previous result. I note that the English don’t get any devolved assembly or parliament. Other parts of the union get represented at local and national level.

Can we get back to ensigns please.
Thats federalism, and is as likely to come about as republicanism in England. An english republic, now wouldn't that be something!

Nah-----We tried that and it didnt end well. Too many zealots and one trick pony extremists muscled in and ruined it. Their descendants are still out there waiting for their chance to cock things up again.

I think I shall celebrate my Englishness by wearing an ensign with a St George’s cross and the Union flag in the corner. That should go down well..

Sounds like a great way to confuse the typical official.
British boat?
Oh no!

Also makes me wonder why we've not heard from anyone with their boat registered in these places.

And then a cluster of dusters for the more exotic ones.

Anyone tempted to buy a boat from one of those places just for the exotic ensign?

Indeed, I think there is a good chance that you could fly those ensigns on registration, should the OP be inclined.

Just one point of order; the Guernsey ensign is reserved for Guernsey residents, so a Guernsey registered boat with overseas ownership should fly the red; think you are ok with Jersey.

After several millenia featuring the fervent waving of various bits of cloth invariably involving a lot of collateral damage to people other than the protaganists, some of us might to prefer to wear something which might represent this on the boat. ?
