The inner glass on our Gascogne cooker has shattered for the second time in 12 months, while the oven was in use. Anyone else have this experience, or advice on how to avoid it?
I’ve heard of this happening to some other recent Eno cookers, apparently the screws that hold the glass in can cause the glass to shatter if it’s not fitted correctly – there are specific printed fitting instructions to avoid this.
This problem is known by the makers and their UK distributor (Plastimo) so you should have no difficulty getting a replacement glass and fixings.
Call Plastimo on 0870 751 4666 and ask to speak to Rupert who deals with this product group.
I hope this helps.
