I am re-engining my boat,and i am looking for a good quote on a Mercruiser 135.

The best i have seen so far is from Aqua marine in Sheperton.

Does any one know of a dealer in the south of england who can supply a competetive quote on a Mercruiser engines.

Also recomendations regarding a company who could make a custom built stainless steel fuel tanks would be miuch appreiciated.

Try Lancing Marine, Portslade (Brighton). 01273 410025. They offered me a a brialliant deal (£2000+ better than others) and have all the knowledge and know-how to prevent or solve any problems. Always available on the phone and very helpful.
Good luck.

I fitted the D1.7L myself, and the warranty was ok if you got a merc mech to check the alignmnet and general installation. (cost me fifty quid).

A complete package with Alpha 1 gen 2 drive and power steering etc. should be securable for a little over £8K inc. vat. (about £1500 below list). I may be able to help secure such a price from the local dealer if interested.

The petrols a lot cheaper, partly due to only raw water cooling, but the downside is much higher internal corrosion potential.
