me again :)

I didn't take any photos before I removed engine, so i cant remember but I think the raw water originally went:-

seacock -> strainer > pump > gearbox > syphon valve > heat exchanger (then to elbow)

I have removed the raw water gearbox cooling bit so should it now be:-

seacock -> strainer > pump > syphon valve > heat exchanger (then to elbow)

Thought I had better check that's the way it should be routed..?

Thanks, it was an md2020, I've replaced with a Perkins 400, which is the same thing pretty much, and also the same (more or less) as the D1-20
bit of a mash up :)

The anti syphon valve can be before or after the heat exchanger, just ensure you have the shortest/smoothest hose run and the valve is more than the specified minimum above water level (usually 400mm)
