Electronics connector plug repair

Hi Everyone
I’m pretty stupid and my initial plan involved cutting the plug off a wire to connect the wires individually. I realised quickly that this was wrong and would in fact need the plug just to plug straight in to the socket(In fairness the plan actually changed). I had cut the plug short(stupidly)and then attempted to open it up to effect repair but(obviously)now I’d like to know if these things are repairable by an ‘electronics’ shop or elsewhere?
This is the front of the plug:

And this is the butchered end:IMG_0545.jpeg
Many thanks for any advice as to where I can get this fixed and apologies for stupidity!!

Thanks Keith. If that’s the case I think I’ll find an electronics type shop to do it based on my hamfistery so far!!

I don’t think you will have much luck finding a replacement connector like that one. It looks proprietary.
You could try trawling google images to see if you can find it.
It’s also moulded so you’d likely have to buy it with a fly lead and then splice it on.

I’d just replace both sides with an M12 connector or something that’s easy to get off the shelf.

It was on the end of the transducer cable. It plugs in to the standard horizon FF520 control box and then up to the SH CP180 chart plotter. If it’s actually a SH proprietary plug then I may well be stuffed! I feel that an ‘electronics shop‘ may just be my final destination whatever; these mini electronic wires are beyond my skill set!

Oops, sorry, not sure how I made the post do that! Yes, if I could find a cheaper version of that and just join the tails that would work…

If the socket has the full set of 7 holes, then https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004201316715.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000060.2.74205fbaTLCGbg&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.291025.0&scm_id=1007.13339.291025.0&scm-url=1007.13339.291025.0&pvid=cf5b83f2-31be-490b-84f3-0c2b8fbc184f&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller,scm-url:1007.13339.291025.0,pvid:cf5b83f2-31be-490b-84f3-0c2b8fbc184f,tpp_buckets:668#2846#8108#1977&pdp_npi=3@dis!GBP!3.53!2.65!!!!!@211b600c16840933152178155eb64a!12000028360689792!rec!GB!3323725384

Many thanks everyone for your inputs. It’s a great forum with plenty of advice out there. I’m going to ask Jake to help out as I reckon that’s the simplest way forward.
Must remember….don’t try electronics again! Stick to engines and machinery….
cheers

We started with this

After some heat gun action we had this

After some more heat gun action we had this...

And after some soldering iron action we had this

Now the challenge is working out which order the remaining two wires go :) Anyone know?

I think JFM is right - the second photo that you posted in this thread shows quite clearly the colours and where they go.
However, can yo get to the socket/plug that this connects with?
In most cases, the manufacturers will continue the colour sequence on the back of that fitting as well.
Be sure to get the mirroring correct when looking at the back of these connectors.
