Electric BBQ Cleaning

In my world if someone askes how to clean a BBQ they don't want health advice. It is simple just answer the question asked

Well i'm fundamentally lazy, so the best response to "how do I clean this?" is to give me a reason to not get it dirty in the first place (by no longer using it).

I learned something about AGEs, may well adjust my diet to have a bit more steamed food (made me realise how little of it I make, despite loving certain dishes), so was a welcome tangent to this reader.

So, in your world, when someone dares giving a suggestion which doesn't strictly answer a question, you feel the urge to fingerpoint at him, without actually giving the slightest contribution to the question yourself?
Not that I'm really so interested to understand, mind.
I can live with that - in my world, so to speak… :D

Thanks for the link to AGEs - something I'd vaguely heard of, but good to read some extra detail. Reading something similar switched me to using Rapeseed oil for frying over olive oil, due to the fewer damaging compounds it develops at higher temperatures.

As for cleaning the BBQ, my tip is the best way to clean it is any method that doesn't involve me!

Hi All,

Thanks for all the replies and no drama with the health advice. :)

I'm (or at least my wife) is fully aware of the issues and the BBQ is a sometimes thing (like sugar) not an everyday thing and we never use the likes of olive oils for cooking.

Cheers,

James.

Health advice changes with time. and very often current advice is the complete opposite to previous advice.

get on with your life and ignor all the bullshit

We had the same issue until we spotted one of these which means unlike the other solutions you can cook eggs etc , it just wipes clean afterwards and no more scrubbing and carbonIMG_8023.jpg
