Suggest you contact John Bland at www.tecsew.com He may well have the dimensions for your boat. You can look on the website and see a wide range of examples of his work. He uses a 3D design tool and will make exactly to your requirement. All such things are individually made so no need to accept a "standard" design, although of course it is useful to see what others have done if you can to give a start.

Their work is high standard and they make for many of the dealers for new boats such as Bavaria and Jeanneau. They made all the canvas work for my Bavaria 33 including a cockpit cover for the winter. There is a photo of it on the website.

Plus 1 for Techsew based on his work for our tent but other thought is to contact the Elan dealer ( maybe in Hamble point?) who will no doubt know who supplies for new ELans . When we were looking I asked around a few of the dealers to gain a view. I noticed Mark you are not that close to Gosport though so appreciate you might wish to use a more local maker for a cockpit tent.

Hi Mark,
I have been considering the same for a 434. Tecsew have the models and pics on their website but I haven’t received a quote from them yet. I have spoken cj hood who were helpful and use a difference to fabric to sunbrella which is apparently more cost effective. Just wondering what you decided and if you would share conclusions and rationale.

Thanks

I have plumped for a local sail maker two of which make very good covers but pricey ,

My problem was i have a one year old spray hood , too far away for tecsew or cj to measure up , i got quotes from both tecsew and cj to replace the sprayhood and fit canopy from stock designs , tecsew were understandably exspensive , cj actually same price to do everything as local sailmakers (canopy only ) but their stock canopy didnt do what i want, ie to zipp off sides fold back and cover leaving up for quick deployment . I sail in scotland ! ,

Cj said that if i did live near them they would have to template and measure to make canopy i wanted , putting price in line with local sailmakers .

So im going with a local clyde sailmaker , there were cheaper options , but ive done that before and regretted badly .

So in short going rate for a quality , fitted canopy to existing sprayhood is circa £3k , if you can live with fully taking on and off each time you use and fitting all your self cj at £3k Canopy and sprayhood , seems good value , rolls royce teksew , the lot , folding away inbetween use circa £ 5k plus depending on actuall extras specced .
