I aquired my Eber with the boat, it had been profesionally installed by Krugers in 1994, and has always run okay so long as the batteries were well charged...since I was always short of battery power I therfore didn't use it that much.
Now as my batteries are all nicely topped up I thought I would run the Eber up to blow the cobwebs out ( BTW its a D3 model with an old style thermostat with the circular dial and rocker switch).
The fan starts and after a few seconds the fuel pump starts ticking away and I was expecting that afetr a short while I would hear the sound of the exhust as the fuel started to burn.
Trouble is it never fired up..it went though the cycle a couple of times, and I shut it down and checked the cable connectors etc, but to no avail.
Interestingly I could feel no heat with my fingertips on the glowplug top.....I would have expected this to have been hot even if the unit failed to fire..is that correct?
Any help would be gratefully recieved, also does anyone have a trouble shooting quide for the D3?
Many thanks, Nick.
