Would agree Duncan. Jimi have you tried blowing back through the fuel line (after checking the filter) just to make sure the tank pick up is clear.

You are closest yet but essentially all posts are way off track.
There is nothing wrong with the Eberspacher It has, however, been possessed by an evil spirit. You will therefore need to perform an exorcism although I must warn that this can be traumatic for the poor Eber.
You will need to find a reputable exorcist. These are regulated under the new "Exorcim Act 2007". The exorcist invokes God and/or several different angels and archangels. The Priest also uses Crosses and Holy Water often when performing one.
If it still does not work you can report the Exorcist to the Exorcism Ombudsman who in our new multi-polar society lives in the 6th Dimension.

Mine had the same problem last year. Fault was in the control board - the engineer who fixed it said it was the 4th one he'd had in 2 months.

Carried out an exorcism today with a couple of spanners and a cotton bud. The lttle gauze filter at the bottom of the pump had its evils spirits confined to the end of a cotton bud and the blasted thing roars once again!
