'Er indoors and I have often talked about moving the boat to Scotland for a few weeks because the cruising looks so good but have been put off by our perceptions of the weather. However, now I know that you were in shirtsleeves whilst we were huddled around the Eberspacher in Lymington, perhaps we'll think again!

Your comments on Euro funding were very interesting. As a serious question, how do you go about finding out whether the EC has grant aid for particular businesses? Maybe you want to e-mail direct on this one

Basically, for the common or garden individual the only realistic way is via a consultant who specialises in these things. You can get guys who will work for a percentage of what is raised.

Even if you know there might be a grant available, you have to know how to answer the questions in the application forms, etc.or, indeed, how to get the forms in the first place.
