Looks like the majority of early forecasts for the weekend are for Heavy Rain, High Winds and Snow!, sounds like a typical Easter and one where once again we will be cancelling our lift-in, I was intending to give this season one last chance, after the previous three, all washouts for us we are seriously being tested.

Having traded up through the last 10 years and not having trips abroad as a way to keep our boat we decided last season to try a trip abroad (without boat) this season, this could be the end of our boating in the UK or maybe altogether.
We have made quite a few friends which we would be sad to lose and is probably the only real reason we didn't venture abroad last year.

Can someone please turn the sun back on!
Or talk me out of giving up before the season starts!

In 2009 I sailed the south Wales coast and across to South West corner of Ireland (2 years running). Major problem was getting enough Sun cream for the 2 months. Three and a half weeks off Ireland and 20 minutes of rain.
But choose MAY AND JUNE for your sailing.
I seem to remember that May was always the best month for rock-climbing in the lake district, when I was a kid.
Check the history.
