Hi guys
Im wonder if tho of you who are member of an east coast club suffolk/ Norfolk/Essex that have noticed board would do me a farvor and put a notes on it for me .
I have a spinnaker pole that I like to sell as I’m not using it ,
i stuck a ad in the wanted on YBW and altho I got a few people interested in it the problem always was how they could get it to there boats the other part of the UK also I hope that a local person who maybe interested would be easier to get it transported or even meet then half way .
if anyone feel it’s not going to put them out PM me and I will give you detail what you can put on a card on the club notice board .
its a real shame to let this pole sit there doing nothing when there someone who could make good use of it considering what the cost new .
thanks all
vic

I don't seem to be able to send a PM. So thought I'd try posting a reply.

I am located in Essex and in need of a spinnaker pole for a 29 foot boat, not sure if yours is suitable.
What are the details? ie, size, price and location for collection etc.

Hi Sailaboutvic

Thanks for your reply.
I think your pole may be a bit too long for my boat. My J measurement is around 3.4m. However, presuming the pole isn't tapered and the jaws are riveted on or something similar. It should be possible to remove one set of jaws, shorten the pole, then rivet the jaws in their new position.

If you think the pole looks suitable for modification? I am still interested.

FYI still cant send PMs

I've PM you hopefully you will get it .
Basically the pole can be cut to size, the ends are rivet on and the pole isn't taped so the end can be place anywhere alone the pole .
