Simple answer is no, it is not more work/impossible/expensive to create a pdf file; it exists as one but the viewer Yudu does permit printing and downloading, albeit with their own off-line reader. But if you just want to have it off-line that will work. One of the buttons to the left of the menu bar.

I think it's a bit big file wise even as a pdf. Like the Dutch mag, including the embedded video. We have talked about doing that development but its early days and we have one or two basics to sort out. I am not sure we can provide it on Yudu - can you say whether the Yudu download meets what you want? If not we will certainly discuss it.

I downloaded the offline mag.

But it's a Windoze file as far as I can see.

I'm on a Mac & although I have WinXP using Parallels' Windows emulator as an option - I'd rather not bother if you don't mind.

However, I see you now have all the previous issues viewable from an archive so I'll use that when I'm online.

Great mag BTW - nice layout too.

Well done Gents, a very commendable effort indeed.

For the IT challenged, here is the trick:

Download the piece of Freeware called CutePDF, and install it (easy)

It will set itself up as a printer on your PC.

Go to the Magazine page and press the print button.

When the print box appears, change the selection from your current printer to CutePDf. Select a location such as My Documents and press print.

It will create a PDF for you. The actual file is 511Mb unprocessed, but is a 23.7Mb PDF file.

Jolly good it is too.

The Yudu download is an .exe file.
I'm on a work laptop most of the time. Security is set pretty tight, and I can't run any pre-approved .exe files on it.
Can hardly ask for your mag to be 'approved' as essential to my job

I have crossed the Sunk close to where they grounded twice this year and can advise that I last crossed sticking to Tillergirls waypoints as listed on his "Crossing the Thames Estuary" website at 11:30 on Sunday 4th September (Just about LW) and never had less that 3M...

If you go to Options, top left you can download offline version....it's a zip file, so if your computer doesn't automatically unzip, you'll need to download some freebie software to unzip it for you. It's a flash file on your computer though.
If you don't have flash, then you can choose the print option, and send to a pdf print utility such as pdf995, then choose pdf995 as the printer, and it will send the print spool to the utility, which will create a pdf file on your computer

It depends on why you want a pdf file?

PS, just to make sure it worked, I created a print pdf file, and it works fine,
