Dutch Boat Shows

Hi Forum,

Club is interested in making an informal visit to a Dutch Boat & Yacht Show in Holland in 2008. Needs to be mobo, yachts and something for the kids etc....

Been asked to do find some recommends.

Anyone been and any advice appreciated - thanks.

HISWA (Dutch Marine Federation) run 2 shows a year. One at Amsterdam RAI in March and an 'on the water show' in September.

The September HISWA is not to be missed if you like Dutch Steel & Cruisers in general

You could do the show in a day

45mins from Luton (book easyjet early +- £35), 15mins Schipol to Amsterdam Central & flying ferry from outside the station (hydrafoil 60mph+) straight to the show

Believe Dusseldorf is also excellent for Dutch boats.

If you want to see 'Dutch Steel', go to 'Boot Holland' in Leeuwarden, yearly, spring.

This weekend "Open house" at Linsen yachts in Maasbracht,
they have a shuttle service to Maastricht airport
