Well, just to give a bit of balance... I used Polyglo a couple of years ago and have to say my results have been patchy. Some bits have come up well, others are still dull. I suspect that more elbow grease & cutting compound are required on the dull bits before re-doing with poly. Overall I think the stuff is quite good, but it can't work miracles.

Hi, it seems that a lot of People here prefer Polyglow, but I would not recomend it.

I had a few years ago a 1990 Four Winns Liberator with a very very dull Hull. Yust a touch and your Hand was Blue (that was the color of the Boat) so i treated it with Vertglas (Thats the same as Polyglow, its just another Brandname) and it came out really fine, but the year after that it started with small cracks in the Finish and the second year it started peeling off, ohhh Boy that was and looked bad, so in the end i had to repaint the Boat, and sold it.

In January 2008 i bought a Wellcraft 1991 and i had that same chulky and dull Hull.

I did it this time that way:

1. Hose the Boat
2. Pressure Clean it
3. Use Boat Wash Liquid from 3M
4. Used 1200 Sand Paper with a LOT of clean Water
5. Sanded the outside of the Boat completly(never work in
the SUN!)
6. Clean it really nice
7. Wash again with the 3M Boat Wash
8. Applied Polytrol from Owatrol (thats the Company)

Application of Polytrol: with a dry and clean Towel "scrub" it in the Hull. dont use to much! a very very thin application!
then put it in a Hall or Garage and let it dry for 24h
after that go with a Boat Wax ( i used Yachticon Boat Wax) over the Surface.

It was almost 4days work but i can send you Pictures of it, it shines like new! I really was suprised how good polytrol works.

Its a Oil Based Product and it is not "hard-shell" like Vertglass or Polyglow.

They have a video if you put the Name on Google you will see it they use a Spray on a Table) but it really works.

I must now wait how i "ends up" after the Winter but I am so happy having that mirror shine on the Boat.
