Dufour 40 - views?

We did Brixham to Poole yesterday leaving at 7:15 and anchoring at 17:30 with over 70 miles on the log in our Starlight 39 which is not bad for an old boat. The Dufour is a quicker boat we used to race against one but life and only once managed to out sail her and that was in rough conditions, the heaver Starlight handled those conditions better.

What's the panels views of the dufour 40? I have always like the looks of the current dufours, but never sailed one. What is the build quality like?

West coast

Sorry I missed this when you posted it.

I have a 2005 Dufour 40 (standard rig, 2.1m draft). I have owned it from new, so now in my 12th season.

I love it. Any question, feel free to PM me.

If one wants a boat which can effortlessly stretch its legs, wants to go fast but not to the point of fearing a ditch, and wants a boat which carries all the creature comforts inside....

...then the Dufour 40 will wrap all of that up in a neat little package just oozing the elusive nautical je ne sais quoi factor.

What's not to like about that? ;)
