Generally you will find Draco well built with good quality joinery, so should stand the trials of time well. Built in Norway and as far as I recall, the 27 Sterling was one of the first Draco's built with integral swim platform. Most of the production went to Europe, so predominantly delivered with petrol engines (2x205 to 2x275's and a mixture of Volvo's and Mercruiser). Believe some of the boats delivered in Norway had Volvo diesels installed, but not meny of the exported ones did. (Seem to recall to having seen one with a single 200 hp diesel for sale for about £21K somewhere in the UK or Ireland, but that needed tidying).
New job & travel keep me busy so unable to spend as much time on forum as I used to! Also employer bars forum access (boo hiss).
Draco built like brick sheds to V. high standards. Certainly as regards moulding thickness etc. Norwegian manufacture.
Taken over by Windy a few years ago, however spoke to lovely lady at LBS on Express Cruiser stand as they are importers for Windy and she said that most Draco specific items are available from Windy via them. They'd need the serial number which is inside on the transom and also using this can date the boat.
Byron certainly seems to regard Dracos quite highly.
