Hello
I just wondered if anyone has some useful input/opinions on the Doral 250 SE? I'm considering one and would really value some comments especially regarding the basic engine option - mercruiser 4.2L - or the DTronic version. Plus any other info about the boat in general.

Happy Friday

not on this model, but if its any help there was a review of a larger model (diesel) (in MBM?) a while ago. General view was satisfactory but that boat really needed some potent petrols if you want to crank it up, and that although finish was a change from USA boats, the options list pushed the price up considerably. Dont know if any of those might apply to the smaller model too?

I had one last year with the 5.0 Volvo engine. Fantastic boat, and went like stink.
Have you considered "nearly new" as there are quite a few coming on the market following SBS where people are upsizing.

Thanks for that. Well worth a look. Were you happy with general 'togetherness' of the boat and the handling?
Cheers

I was very happy with all aspects of the boat, so much so that I changed it for the 280, and now have the 330 on order (It's just a size thing).
Regarding nearly new I know that the person interested in mine (through dealer) has a 250 in p/x with very good spec which might interest you:
Approx 2 years old
Volvo KAD44P EDC (Fly by wire controls)
Deluxe option pack and Blue trim
Only freshwater use on lake in Ireland (They will change the anodes)
GPS
Heating
Invertor
Other extras

New this would cost over 75k but available for 50k ish.
I have no financial gain in this "deal", just trying to help newbies into the market.
