Watchet Marina are on the look out for a boat that disappeared this morning. The boat has been in the marina since 1st April and despite repeated attempts to retrieve some berthing fees, the guy took the boat in the middle of the night. More to the point, the marina staff had placed the boat in a very awkward berth, blocked in by another boat. Whoever took the boat cut loose and left the boat that was blocking it in.

So if anyone sees a small white fishing vessel called Seadog - approx 24 foot, with a high foredeck and very low cabin roof with small windows - looks totally out of proportion, with a very noisy engine - like a lawnmower (!) can they let the marina know?

Cheers guys

reckon the owner of the boat that was cut free would like a 'chat'!

I agree, and quite rightly as well. Plus the marina costs which are owing. It just seems that if you could not sort him/her out when the boat was there, it will surely be nigh on impossible when it's gone.

Sorry if I seem negative, good luck and all that!

Wouldn't the marina management have recorded the vessels name and registration number.

This should help.

Think they do have details but have since found out that he has split with partener, taken kids etc etc. Not looking good from that point of view but they said they have notified the marinas/harbours in the area.

If sighted notify Avon and Somerset Police. Vessel has been reported as stolen as no body actually saw who took it. You can guess though! Apparently Customs and Excise want a chat as well as it seems boat may have been sold a week ago for cash in a private sale - and apparently that's enough to arouse suspicions.
