Dolphin in the Solent

We can't match Guapa's excellent pictures by a long way. We had a small dolphin playing alongside the boat in June, about ten miles out of Ramsgate. A joy to see.
It was a cold and drizzly crossing, and our highlight was a visit of this little fellow:

When the Ramsgate ferry suddenly emerged from the mist, he jumped ship...

I wonder if a dolphin has taken up a territory off Portsmouth as we spotted one a few weeks ago in the same place. Things are looking up in some respects.

There was a Dolphin for a couple of months living by the Fairway Buoy at the Needles this spring.

Having said that, have just sailed down to Portugal and the number of Dolphins along the Portuguise coast is just unbelievable.

Give us a min and I'll get some photo's...

And for the doubter who said Porpoises don't play on bow waves...

They might be Dolphins, but they were a lot bigger than all the other ones we had.

No picture of the Whale that passed us going the otherway though. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
