Does anyone have any idea why I have these things on the hull of my boat?

My echopilot (2008, "gold" model) only had one sensor and it didn't look like the thing on the keel of this boat

Sorry, got distracted by Nick_H's post, great hull and amply buoyant off both port and starboard bow....

Some Echopilots had two sensors, see image below, but I believe they are not what the OP wanted to ID anyway, also the EP transducers all seem to have shields so not much help from me!

Ah yes indeed. Thanks - my mistake, sorry. I had not spotted that EP now do 3D units. There was only one transducer in the (useless) 2D version that I had. Still, who cares, now we have Nick_H's hull to look at

As for the ground plate, I would have thought that a P bracket would be better that a small 10cm plate.

Sintered bronze - porous. In theory giving much greater area than that of the actual plate. Ten times? Might be marketing hype, though.
