Wonder if anyone knows the solution// : We have a Blaupunkt radio single CD player in the boat. It's a Florida model with removable face plate. It cuts out after about one hour of play. The handbook states this is normal to prevent battery discharge (when fitted to car I assume) However, it has now stopped completely, although I managed to restart it the following day, having left it off overnight. Assuming that power is reaching the set, could it be a bad contact inside or a fuse? Thought I would check with anyone who knows about these things before contacting the dealer. Thanks. Roy

sounds like who ever wired it in wired it like you would in a car with a switched live, there should be a permanent live that you can connect to makes it live all the time. We had the same trouble with our Sony but it is fine now.

For interest's sake, turns out the machine is goosed due to previous owner of my boat removing the face plate every time he used stereo, i.e. once a week for three years. Contacts are worn out and Blaupunkt service centre are abysmal - solution, bought a new Kenwood 200 watt system at Halfords for £99.00 - down from £200. Sorted. Roy
