Dodgers

Do you have trouble remembering where you left it then NAS?

When we get a sensible answer to this post, I will follow you in?

Hi NAS

The best value we found when getting Francis Fletcher's dodgers and other canvaswork (sailcover, sprayhood, tent, hatch cover etc.) was N & J Mussett at West Mersea, tel 01206 385658. Nick's a nice guy and very helpful.

I can't guarantee their turnaround, but if you've got the dimensions, and are prepared to pay the postage, then it just depends on how busy they are at present.

Nobody has told Neil that a 3/4 Tonner is a hairy chested throw it round the cans keenly sharpened racing machine.
So how far has the steering wheel thingy got then?

Words and Meanings

of course the thing the Brits call a sprayhood is called a dodger in the US.

Why not make your own - acrylic, tape, polyester thread and eyelets are all the raw materials you need, the cut is dead simple and the average home sewing machine is man enough for the job.

Francis_Fletcher,

How right you were about N&J Musset....

Most people quoted 4 to 6 weeks min lead time....

Nick is fitting them in for me early next week, and was extremely helpful.....

Slightly more expensive... not a lot more.... but worth it for the service....

Addendum,

After measuring up Magna Carter on Friday evening, posting the measurements along with a cheque Saturday morning, the dodgers turned up Wednesday morning... resplendent with name.....

VERY pleased with the quality, and the turnaround time is superb..... excellent customer service... extremely friendly...

So a big positive vote for N&J Mussett

usual caveat about no connection other than v satisfied customer etc etc

[/ QUOTE ]At the risk of teaching granma... just in case you didnt have dodgers before: fix them firmly at the top to the guard wires, as many places as he has given you grommets. Then attach them in forrard, middle and aft grommets at the bottom with thin cable ties or equivalent, which will break when you ship a big greenie. Keep spare ties to refix after said greenie. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
