Well maybe if you had not slagged half the forum off for offering advice, it would not have happened. Dont think either me or Observer are noted for causing offence. (Never met him tho)

By the way, were not noted for putting up with crap either.

Please don't make this a pistols at dawn affair. As far as I can tell Haydn seems the most laid back of all the Mobo owners on here. He has a boat- Cruises far and wide; gets it fixed, has a sinking every now and then - as I remember rescued by the RNLI - to which I am sure he pays his dues. Every so often he give a bit of advice- often in obscure thumb typists misspelt language. But his advice should be taken in the spirit in which it is given- Someone who has trolled back and forth round the South Coast in all sorts of weathers. I, for one, appreciate his love of nautical stories and his desire for more tales of trips, plans and pictures (and occasional disasters) of boating.

Treat him as the codger in the corner of the bar who knows a thing or two. Perhaps ignore it, but like in any pub don't have the row in front of everybody else.

Thanks for that Michael. Not sure about the codger at the bar bit though /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif You could have added in, also trolled the Bristol Chanel and Irish sea a good few times. But anyway.

This row is all of arnys making, no one set on him, least of all me. But if war is what it is, then so be it.

As you said, I love hearing about folk doing boaty stuff, especially traveling from place to place, it's what a boat is for.

Not quite sure why i got a pop from arny then another, then a broad side. Anyway this bear just chucks the bricks back when thrown. It rarely happens though.

I'm quite surprised at all this. As a new forum member (just a few months) I wasn't really expecting this type of confrontation. I work in the PC games industry where forums are populated by kids slagging each other off.

Just a bit sad to see people using forums like this here. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yep it's sad, but been here since the forum began. Theres always some one that starts it. Then theres the Liverpool or Labour type supporters. Can see nothing wrong. Blind to whats said. No regard for facts. Fact being. I said go when the weather is right.. Arny 's trancelation being, go anytime Toss pot.

hlb and observer having just reviewed all arny's posts what an arrogant and confrontational person he is. His trip is laudable but his pr not so. for those that love him he has a web site follow him there for the rest of us can we have an arny free day?

This has deteriorated into an unsightly and quite embarrassing quarrel, I'm locking the subject and will remove further posts if they continue in this vein.

I'm going to speak to the protagonists by PM, if you want to discuss the issue of who is right and who is wrong please do the same, there is no point in carrying on in the public forum.
