If you want to see the AIS targets overlaid on charts, then look for the thread i started yesterday regarding the Marine Navigator app then you will have a backup chart plotter too. If you just want to see the AIS targets then Boat Beacon works with your wifi input.

I'm out of my comfort zone here with this technical stuff so pardon me if I'm asking stupid questions BUT is it possible to get med charts and specifically the Ionian and Aegean to work with Marine Navigator?

I have not used Med charts with Marine Navigator app. I get my charts from this website and if you scroll down you will see that they provide charts for part of the Med only. Hopefully there is another source that someone will suggest.

Yeah I’m using the Navionics Europe HD app and it’s great but I was interested in getting something with an AIS feed. Generally I have no need for AIS but if I could get access at a reasonable price I wouldn’t mind having it for the
Saronic Gulf next month. Apologies for side tracking your enquiry.

Last year I sailed with Dom and Giblets. I was most impressed by the iSailor/AIS combination on the iPad. I guess it'll work with an android or Windows system too. Apparently the Navonics app doesn't link to AIS.

DY as a app that will link their AIS to Navionics but your Navionics has to be up to date.
