Didn't you use your anchors?

Think the foreshore is a bit better marked these days .

I've never been there in person so I had a snoop around with Google Maps. It was low tide when the photos were taken, but there was a sign saying "this road floods on every tide" which seemed reasonably clear. The copious quantity of high-water-mark seaweed on the road would have been a major clue too.

Also have a look at the sign at 58 secs. The man removing his shoes has parked within one metre of it. ACCESS REQUIRED FOR THE LAUNCHING AND RECOVERY OF VESSELS ... something of a clue.

It seems natural to folk who understand tides. Of course. In the same way that the risk of avalanches and loose rocks seem natural to skiers and climbers.

None of those cars suggest wealthy people. Far from it. Doesn’t seem right to me for a bunch of yachties to be laughing at them and labelling them stupid.

Just a personal opinion, nothing more.

I submit both to your logic and higher moral standard. Here's a joke in compensation. Man 1 "My wife went to the West Indies?". Man 2 "Jamaica?". Man 1 "No, that would be appallingly coercive!"
