In an endevour to find out how long a set of rechargeable batteries would last in my in my handheld GPS I left it on - result 9hrs 45 mins before the batteries finally gave out. That in itself is perhaps not surprising, but what was of interest, given that the unit was stationary all the time, was that I had achived an average speed of 16.3 knots and had travelled 0.23 nautical miles! Just goes to show that even when you standstill, the world moves on!! Useless bit of info really, but there you go/forums/images/icons/wink.gif
