I have a young friend who found himself in a state of impecuniosity the other evening. Ra wee bugger wiz skint. Considering myself a friend I immediately leapt to the breach and proffered the outstanding amount - well, actually - several of us did.
Anyway we all parted on fine terms, bouyed as we were on fine wine and good company and I have thought no more of the matter.
Imagine Dear Reader my chagrin upon opening a personal message this very evening to learn that my young friend - unbeknown to my good self - has at some time during our friendship secreted a camera about his person and candidly captured an image which he now informs me - he will use to release himself from my debt.
The amount owed is by most standards insignificant - I never believed that my friendship meant so little to him
Should this dastardly ply be put into effect I may have no option but to go - never to return to this place.
At times like this a man needs his friends - I hope I can count on you.

i feel for you, i really do. there can be no worse a position than the one youse have the misfortune tae find yourself in. extortion of this order is unimaginable and must truly be upsetting particularly as the photo appears to have been taken unbekownst to your good self and shows your good self, one assumes, in a compromising position ...
