Had a serious offer on our boat today subject to survey. Feeling depressed thought it would be up for sale for months . 1st person to see it has made an acceptable offer , broker must be happy though £6.5k for a weeks work.

Well, at least you weren't shouted at A**HOLE, you're a F-in big A****LE by a crane operator before 930 in the morning in pooring rain at ayard where I came to survey a boat that was supposed to be out of the water for days already but just being lifted.....
That made my day.
The thought that without cost to yourself, (you're getting the dosh you want) you're making the broker very happy should lighten up your moods!
Money in the pocket, winter at hand, fresh start nxt season !

You have done well, buyers aren't everywhere and you'll soon get over it, have you decided on your next one yet? If so, now is the time to start buying, between now and LBS the trade get really depressed and are looking for cashflow. You can then have a little project over the winter:))

......and when we went to the Amsterdam boat show recently everyone was so polite! Although have to say didn't bump into that many crane drivers though, well not unless they have taken to wearing bikinis in strangley lit windows:)

David thanks for your words of wisdom i feel a bit better. I hope the survey goes well now and look forward to a new project, and being a tyre kicker making sick offers to peoples pride & joy.
