Watson fuels who deliver fuel to Chichester charge 32p, there is no minimum order but you have to have well vented tanks as it pumps at about 30l/min.

30litres/min sounds slow - that'd be 40+ minutes to fillup...

I've used tankers loads of times. Either there waiting there at a fish quay, or simply ring the nearest company. But thats not the problem. Biggest problem is finding a quay where you can both get to. Marinas are not happy about you filling from tankers. Obviously.

So, find a suitable place and book the tanker. Easy. Oh better ask them to bring along a reducing nozel to fit the filler thingy and maybe slow the pump down.

ah you are right, perhaps it was 30litres in 30secs or erm, perhaps 30litres in 15 seconds. I can't remember but I was standing there talking to him and timing the numbers flipping over.

ISTR derf arranging a tanker somewhere in Portsmouth harbour. At that price, it's well worth it...

No problem filling from tanker. In the Med there are many places where there is no other practical way.

Derf did arrange the tanker but it never turned up, apparently they didn't have a tanker or a driver...

I did arrange a tanker and driver to Camber, but got a call on the Sat morning from the supplier said the driver was sick so could not deliver on Sat....

Were happy to deliver on the Monday morning, or the folowing weekend, but I could do neither.

Would be easy to re arrange tho if lots are interested....

We'll certainly be interested in doing this at points throughout the year. I guess it may take some co-ordination - willing to help out, or maybe its a business op for someone?

Ok there is some interest, but need more than three to make it worthwhile.

Also the only place that the tanker will deliver is to Camber dock in P'mouth.

Have just met a boat owner whose previous business was diesel delivery for Haulage industry, so will see if he wants to co-ordinate. He is based in Gosport, so would be easy I guess.

Will report back.
