After 30 mins cruising I stopped to do some fishing. When I restarted the engine it would only fire the engine to a misfire and would cut out when I engaged gear.
After a few attempts the ignition failed completely. Its a Force 150 and has been super reliable until now.question
1 Could this be the ignition switch.
2 could it have blown a circuit breaker.
cheers.

Consider the simple stuff first.

Man O/B cut out switch.

Start in neutral switch.

All electrical connections.

Spark plugs.

HT Leads.

(Presuming no / intermittant / weak spark).

Not extinct, just dormant obviously electric circuit if its firing then it cant be ignition ciruit. I would have thought it could be something to do with the kill switch or ignition circuit. Your nav lights and bilge pumps will be connecyed sepparately to the battery probably, so the fact that they are working only tells you that the battery isnt entirely flat
