Fire pretty much under control but planes still dousing the area and one way ship traffic only in the Strait last report I heard.
Amusing to see some of our brethren on here make tits of themselves.

I'm sure the local VTS and the pilots will be grateful for your insight, but it has since reopened to traffic.
It's a mile wide even at the narrow bit, how much separation do you need between a plane and shipping?

Thanks for that; is commenting on a thread worthy of ad hom now?

Evidently my levity is being mistaken for earnest belief that turkish fire fighting pilots are partially sighted. :ROFLMAO: Observing that a navigable channel that's generally over 2 miles wide could accommodate shipping and firefighting aircraft is not traducing them, there's separation and then there's ridiculousness, not that the decision is likely to have been the pilots' anyway.

The link is to faceache. Don't know where it is. Yacht is very close to seaplane landing with second seaplane in the distance, parallel. I assume the seaplanes are scooping up water, but don’t really know. Looks like they take up a lot of room, when two seaplanes are sharing the same bit of water. Maybe this is the issue, more than one plane at a time scooping up water.

Better get out of here!!!! @maritime__daily | Hangar 2 | Hangar 2 · Original-Audio
