Thanks but I don't think this is the product.
Cupro FF featured in a reply to a letter in June 2002 Sailing Today and a web search for Cupro FF produced a link to www.sailnet.com which is where I got the name of the manufacturer Eco Sea Ltd. However no luck with a search for that ccompany so still looking.

This product won a DTI award for innovation, and is a copper sheet of about 150 microns thick, that is stuck on to the bottom of the boat. It's not cheap, will cost you about £64 or £65 per sq mtr, but is supposed to last 20 years! The down side is that you can't use a pressure washer on it, and it has to be protected from support props when you lift out.

Contact Ecosea Ltd on 01942 615805.
Don't think they have a web site, the boss man is James Kelly, and he's a sailing guy, so he should know what he's talking about.

I believe PBO have just done an article on it - or it may have been Sailing Today o it sounds good but expensive, a modern version of copper sheathing.

I'd rather be sailing...

There was a similar product called, among other things, CufoFoil. Invented and marketed by a Mr Fred Mitchel in the early 90's.
The foil, a copper/nickel/iron alloy worked as an anti-fouling... just.
The glue system did not work at all on my boat, though Mitchel himself applied it to my then new boat before launching.
It fell off like damp wallpaper in under six months.
Other customers found the same.
No one got their cash back.
Checkout this resurected product VERY carefully,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
