mjf, how do you anchor stern to the wind? Do you have a stern anchor or some other arrangement?

Just take the chain with a rope snotter to the appropiate aft cleat.

If it gets rough or indeed when you want to heave up you simply let go and recover the tackle as it comes over the bow. Never got caught in bad enough weather but it works really well when its fine

That's also a nice arrangement for daily trips in hot weather, 'cause it's the only way to catch some breeze when dining in the cockpit.

Hi, I own a F43 with 63Ps. My best crusing speed is 20-22 knots. The engines run sweet at this speed, around 2200 rpm, and I average about 1 gallon per mile.
