No, but the IOM fast ferry got rammed in the Mersea just before berthing in Fog last night, fortunately without injuries.

I don't think the IOM ferry was anywhere near Mersea, but maybe so, it was foggy after all.

Probably will turn out to be a true "accident" but I feel sorry for the captains of both vessels regardless.

Frankly I'm not suprised. I've been on the Mersey in fog and the shipping didn't use fog signals. There is of course radar but that's another story I guess

OOOPS - a bit off course if it was up near Mersea! As most of you sussed - I meant the Liverpudlian Mersey.
