Just picked up a new (to us) 2002 Sea Ray Sundancer 515. There is a hole in the Starboard transom that allows the shorepower cable to run through with out the need to leave the Starboard transon locker door open, it is fitted with a very neat stainless surround and the hole is about 3 or 4 inches in diameter.

I would like to put a similar fitting on the Port side of the transom to allow the dock water hose to pass through, therefore not having to leave the Port transom locker lid slightly raised when connected to dock water.

What are these stainless hole surrounds called, I can not find a seller of these any where, however I am sure they are easy to find if I knew the name of what I am looking for

Thanks
Graham.

Thanks Jimmy.... but no.

I have since Googled Fairleads, but not what I am after.

The item I mean is a Stainless surround for the hole in the Transom that the shorepower lead exists through. I guess you would cut a round hole in the transom, and this item goes partially through the hole so that it is a neat finish hole that the cable comes through.

Thanks anyway

Graham

Might it be something that they custom fabricated in house - and if so, could you get something made as a copy? Worth posting a photo?

Cheers
Jimmy

Sounds like you are after a stainless steel grommet of some kind. I can find them for cars and furniture, but not anything marine yet.
