Concentrating on symmetric kits or only catering for them?
It is very hard to keep everyone happy in handicap racing.
To not beat about the bush, setting the course has huge influence over who will win.
So you either have to try to be even handed or accept that some boats won't come back.

Got to agree with that, which is why its easier to keep more people happy with round the cans. There is a random "bad luck on the day" element .

But I can get a random harbour tour at home.
If you want me to travel to an event, you need to add more value.

Which is best done by not putting us in a class with a lot of disparate boats who want different courses.
One class I sail in, w/l OD would be a reason to travel. Another would be dull without waves and reaches.
