Couple of old ladies

Watched a couple of old one's pull in at Dartmouth , paddle steamer I believe 1924 ,engine's from one that was used in first would war,1904 still going strong

They're both regulars - The Fairmile runs trips between Torquay/Brixham and Dartmouth regularly and my son refers to her as 'The Disco Boat' as you usually hear the music miles away! Kingswear Castle is rather special and personally I love to see her running up and down the Dart - somehow a fitting location and she looks right at home.

Kingswear Castle returned to the Dart at the end of last year. I was fortunate enough to be there when she came in accompanied by several of the more conventional trip boats. It was quite an emotional occasion.

The Fairmile has had a facelift for this season, or rather she has been restored to much the same way as she looked during her active service years.
