Could we have a Cumbria meet?

It's a good point.

There's loads of nice spots a bit further North.
Kirkby Lonsdale, Arnside, Penrith, Grange over Sands (?)

Where it does all fall down a bit, is meeting to have a jar when you are all driving. It's a bit risky if you do drink, and a bit pointless if you don't.

I got my last-but-one boat from Glasson, it's a nice spot.
My point was that, unless the lockpit pub and ozone fix is important, it's 5 or 6 miles less for everyone to meet near the M6.

Can I respectfully suggest that the way you are all P--ing about with this proposed event makes me wonder how you ever get out of port? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Make it Alston, 35 mins drive and I'll come.

Good grief, You want jam on it. Admittedly you have to come off at 32 or 33 but it's on the old A6 so it's not exactly a country mile (well, it probably is)

Alston? I haven't got snow chains.

Snow chains? You don't need them. Just bring your wellies; the sheep can't run very fast and you don't have to restrain them.
