My boat is currently fitted with an Optimus cooker, supplied I believe by Vetus in Sweden. It is three years old and the oven is a real pain to light, taking about three minutes before you can let go of the knob which makes the management very cross.
As we are thinking of cruising six months of the year from next year she is saying that she wants a proper cooker that will do every day duty and be reliable. I prefer gas.
Any views on good long lasting cookers would be appreciated as I guess I am going to have to spend a fair amount of money. I have heard of Taylors but do not think theyy will fit in the available space. I think Force 10 make a cooker that will fit but have seen somewhere(PBO) that someone had a bad expereience with them. Any thoughts on those and are there any others I should be considering.
Many thanks in advance
