Mmmmm. Fish cutter. ?

And there is a most excellent fish cutter emporium situated almost on the beach, less than 10 minutes walk from Port St Charles, heading south towards Speightstown.
It is called Caboose, and the fish are cooked inside a tiny traditional Bajan fishing boat (on the shore) that has been re-purposed into a fish galley.
More info about Caboose here - a fish cutter and a Banks beer is a good combination and it fills me up nicely, for a total cost of US$10.

Speightstown seems to be on the up. It was a little run down when I visited there in ’94 (on the bus). Back then IIRC one had to get permission to sail up the west coast - so everyone stayed put in Carlisle Bay (which was nice anyway).

I recommend getting on the local island bus and visit Harrison’s cave over in the East. The bus trips are great fun.
