Thank you. Very kind, but all very embarrassing. I haven't told my wife yet (thought it might be a nice surprise for her at the awards 'do'), so was taken aback to see the announcement on YBW. It's all nonsense really. How can you give someone an award for simply being alive? There are also many others in the OCC (to say nothing of sailing in general) who have been through far worse and done far more. Anyway, I don't wish to sound ungrateful, I'm just mystified. Thank you again - I too am hoping for some good sailing with May Morning this season. Which reminds me, I must buy some antifouling and get cracking.
