Well the time has finally arrived (next week) for my first ‘Blind Date’ with another forum member.

I’m beginning to get a bit nervous about it, you know, ‘what if the conversation runs dry’, ‘what if they’re a smoker’, ‘a man-u supporter’ etc.

Has anyone got any tips for such an occasion?

Perhaps someone could volunteer to phone me on my mobile at 9 o’clock and give me an excuse to make a hasty exit if required.

Just tell them about your piles, that should keep the conversation going for a couple of hours.

Failing that tell them about your diesel conversion.. That will keep YOU talking for days!!!!!!

Dont worry:

1) I don't smoke
2) I do not support Man Utd. (I'd rather start smoking!)
3) Can talk for hours - most of it garbage - anyway if we do run out of conversation we can always talk about the wierdo's on here
4) Dont like talking about work
4) I will buy round (or two or three)

Please be gentle with me

Read your post about three times, still can't quite understand it. Guess I must be about 5 bottles behind you!

In three lines, you've somehow managed to make a vaild respond to the post, comment on your current surroundings, relate them to the forum, and close out with a crushing conclusion on today's society.

Amazing!!!

Your post must deserve a prize /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Well I woz a marketing type before... sorry to have confused you, it was so un-intended.

As for being behind me in bottles. I will have you know that since I tied up only one has gone down. The seocnd is being saved for dinner and the third for sitting on the command deck throwing pretzals at the saily boat next door. Unless of course they invite me over.
